A. A healthy dose of olive oil can go a long way when it comes to your health. Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fat and antioxidants like chlorophyll, carotenoids and vitamin E. Recent research has now provided proof that consuming olive oil can help lower cholesterol and actually help your body maintain lower weight. Try adding a little olive oil to your recipes, making sure you watch your portions. While replacing other fats in your diet with olive oil can help lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack, it's still a fat and calories still count.
