Practice Proper Portions

Ask Glen!

Q. Glen, I am eating very healthy! But still gaining weight, Am I doing anything wrong?

A. Maybe, Many of us are so focused on what we should and shouldn't eat that we forget the importance of simply eating the right amount. The truth is if you watch your portions and eat properly you won't have to spend so much time worrying about the foods you should be avoiding. Try serving your meal on a smaller plate or use familiar objects to picture how much you should eat. For example, three ounces of meat is the size of a deck of cards and one ounce of cheese is the size of four dice.

Glen's Bottom Line: Watch the amount of what you eat!
