Color your Plate!

Ask Glen!

Q.Glen, I trying to eat right but when I go out to eat my plate always looks so bland! meat potatoes etc...what should I do?

A. Make every meal a masterpiece by adding fresh new colors to it everyday. Foods with the most colors tend to be the best for you, such as all the variety of vibrant fruits and veggies. The rich colors found in the skin of these brightly colored fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants which offer a host of health benefits. On the contrary, foods with the least amount of color are the ones we tend to eat the most of, such as meats, potatoes and bread. Adding more color to your plate will help aid in disease prevention and weight maintenance.

Glen's Bottom line: fruit, vegetables eat them!!!!
